Art Book Club: The Signature of All Things

Join the Toledo Museum of Art Library & Archives for an engaging book club discussion as we explore Elizabeth Gilbert's captivating novel, The Signature of All Things. This rich and sweeping narrative spans the 18th and 19th centuries, telling the story of Alma Whittaker, a botanist with an insatiable curiosity for the natural world. The discussion coincides with the exhibition Rachel Ruysch: Nature into Art. The novel and the exhibition explore the intersections between painting, nature, and science.
Attendees are encouraged to join us for Ruysch in the Round: Music Inspired by Art, a musical performance presented by the Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts on Friday, May 16th, at 6:30 PM in the Great Gallery.
