Kick off your weekend at the museum with an evening filled with art, music, and summertime fun. Whether it’s a night out with friends or an evening with that special someone, Its Friday! is the place to be!  Enjoy live performances by local musicians and drinks from the bar in our Glass Pavilion. It’s the perfect way to wind down, explore creativity, and celebrate summer in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

Shawn Sanders

Shawn Sanders is a Toledo, Ohio–based freelance musician, known for his work as a guitarist, harmonica player, and singer. His music spans indie rock, rockabilly, classic rock, and original compositions, blending traditional influences with his own creative voice.

Join instructor Kristen Sanders for a calming, all‑levels yoga session focused on gentle movement, mindful breathing, and relaxation. Kristen’s supportive guidance helps you unwind, recharge, and leave feeling refreshed and centered. Perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Yoga mats not provided.

While the event is free and open to the public, activities cost $30 per person with members receiving a 10% discount.

You do not have to participate in the activity to attend.

About Kristen Sanders

Kristen Sanders is an art educator with over twenty-three years of teaching experience, deeply rooted in the Toledo community and currently serving as an instructor at the Toledo Museum of Art. Her academic background includes a BFA in painting and photography from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in art education from the University of Toledo. Informed by her practice as a Certified Yoga Teacher, she integrates mindfulness, movement, and intentional breathing into her curriculum to support both creative exploration and emotional well-being. Through classroom teaching, guest speaking, and her own studio practice, she strives to inspire learners to create with presence, intention, and self-expression.

Unless otherwise noted, ticket categories are defined as follows:

    • Ages 5–17: Child ticket
    • Ages 18 and up: Adult ticket

These age ranges apply to events and exhibition tickets only. Programs such as classes and the Family Center may follow different guidelines.
