Decoded: Symbolism in Art Tour

Friday, April 17 | 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. | Libbey Court

Join us for a guided tour that delves into the rich world of symbolism in art. From the fierce lion to the delicate lily, from vibrant hues to intricate patterns, discover how artists across cultures and centuries have used visual elements to convey deeper meanings, tell stories, and evoke emotion. Explore the hidden language behind common artistic motifs. Learn why certain animals appear in artwork, what different flower species signify, and how color choices affect interpretation.

If you need accommodations, assistance, or appropriate modifications to fully participate in this event, please let us know by contacting Access Initiatives at [email protected]. Please note that while we endeavor to provide everyone with a positive visitor experience, last-minute requests may not be accommodated; we ask for requests to be made, at minimum, three days prior to the event. Thank you.

If you've registered but can no longer attend, kindly notify the museum as soon as possible so we can accommodate others.
