The Power of Representation

We are a nation of people representing a variety of backgrounds and cultures. Art reflects our society and it is important to include representation in our curriculums. In this workshop educators will learn the importance of putting a spotlight on communities, cultures, and individuals whose history and voices have not historically been heard. Educators will learn ways to create a more inclusive curriculum while integrating art.
Teachers of all subjects and grade levels, including pre-service teachers, are welcome. Content is adaptable for all ages and refreshments are provided.
