The Power of The Crown
Thursday October 24 | 4:00-6:00p.m.
Explore our new Ethiopia At The Crossroads Exhibition, as well as other works of art from the TMA collection showing the influence rulers and royalty have had on art. While looking at the symbolism of the crown as well as other symbols of stature we will examine the messages and stories conveyed through not only the crown but in the way we present ourselves. Educators will learn ways to explore these concepts through connections to self using an integrated approach to their curriculum through literature and the arts.
Teachers of all subjects and grade levels, including pre-service teachers, are welcome. Content is adaptable for all ages and refreshments are provided.
