Have you ever wanted to learn more about who founded the Toledo Museum of Art and why it still thrives today? Join Julie McMaster, TMA's Archivist and keeper of history, as she talks about Florence Scott Libbey and her impact on the Toledo community. Julie will briefly have the group walk through Beth Lipman's ReGift, a sculptural installation. The group will then explore a behind the scenes look at the Peristyle Theater, a 1,750-seat concert hall opened in 1933 in the Greek Agora Style inspired by Florence Scott Libbey and designed by Edward B. Green. Guests will learn more about the Libbeys, architecture, and the general history of the Museum.
